More than a room and a key.
Stay with us and the whole house comes with the room: a bright living space that is open all day, a walled garden to disappear into, and two bikes ready for the city.
The living room, with the long table.
The warm, light-filled living space is there for every guest, at any hour of the day. The long table for eight hosts breakfast, reading and the occasional bit of work; by the fireplace there are books for slow evenings.

Breakfast like home, only a little better.
Fresh juice, coffee and tea, boiled eggs, bread and toppings, cheese and fine cold cuts, organic yoghurt with homemade granola and white chocolate. Everything is ready when you are.
When the sun is out, we set the table in the garden.
The walled garden, a small oasis.
Between the old walls lies the sunny courtyard garden: garden furniture, some greenery, and the sounds of the beguinage. Finish a book here, have a coffee after a walk through town, or simply do nothing at all.
Two bikes at the ready.
Mechelen is a city built for cycling. Our two bikes are free to use; do ask for them in advance, since there are only two. At night they sit safely in the enclosed store, alongside your own bike.
A house full of small discoveries.
Look around and you will find something everywhere: illuminated butterfly cases, a peacock feather under glass, old beams beside contemporary work. Erik and Marijke collected and made most of the interior themselves. No two corners of the house are the same.
