In The Atelier the old rafters arch right over the bed. Light falls in through the skylight and glides across the handmade wardrobes, the olive-green sofa and the reading corner. Here too, Erik and Marijke chose natural materials that put you at ease: wood, linen, warm colours.
The bed is 1.80 metres wide, with ergonomic pillows. The writing desk sees you through a quiet evening of work; the sofa corner is for books and slow mornings. In the bathroom a freestanding black tub waits under the skylight, with mosaic tiling and brass taps.
The Atelier looks out over the rooftops of the beguinage: in the evening, what you mostly hear is nothing at all.
